LockNest, Inc. ("LockNest") takes intellectual property rights seriously — both in protecting our own innovations and in respecting the rights of others. This Intellectual Property Policy explains our ownership of IP, how you may use our brand and content, and how to report infringement.

1. LockNest Intellectual Property

Trademarks

The LockNest name, logo, product names (NexGuard, VaultKey, TouchEntry, IrisScan, KeyMatrix, AuraLink, SlimFit, PortalCam, DualGuard, NanoLock, TravelVault, OfficeEntry), taglines, and all associated trade dress are registered or unregistered trademarks of LockNest, Inc. These marks may not be used without our prior written permission.

Copyrights

All content on our website, app, and marketing materials — including text, images, graphics, videos, icons, software code, and product documentation — is protected by copyright and owned by or licensed to LockNest, Inc. This content may not be reproduced, distributed, or modified without express written permission.

Patents

LockNest holds multiple issued and pending patents covering our lock hardware designs, biometric authentication methods, wireless communication protocols, and software systems. Unauthorized manufacture, use, sale, or importation of products that embody our patented inventions is strictly prohibited and will be enforced.

Trade Secrets

LockNest's manufacturing processes, security algorithms, firmware, and proprietary research constitute trade secrets protected under applicable law. You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, disassemble, or decompile any LockNest product or software.

2. Permitted Use of LockNest Brand Assets

You may use LockNest brand assets in the following limited circumstances:

• Editorial use: Journalists and media may use the LockNest name and logo to accurately refer to our products and company in editorial content
• Resellers: Authorized LockNest resellers may use approved brand assets as provided in their reseller agreement
• Customer reviews: You may include photos of LockNest products in genuine, honest reviews
• Personal use: You may share images of your own LockNest products on social media with proper attribution

All other uses require prior written approval from our marketing team at brand@locknest.com.

3. Brand Guidelines

When referencing LockNest in any permitted context:

• Always spell "LockNest" as one word with capital L and N (not "Lock Nest," "Locknest," or "LOCKNEST")
• Do not alter, distort, or modify our logo or wordmark
• Do not use our brand in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, or affiliation unless authorized
• Do not use our brand in connection with false, misleading, disparaging, or objectionable content
• Do not register domain names, social media handles, or business names that incorporate "LockNest"

4. DMCA / Copyright Infringement Claims

If you believe that content on our website or in our app infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent with the following information:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient information to locate it
• Your contact information (address, phone number, email)
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act

5. Counter-Notices

If you believe content was wrongfully removed pursuant to a DMCA notice, you may submit a counter-notice to our DMCA Agent. We will review all counter-notices in accordance with the DMCA and applicable law.

6. Reporting Trademark or Patent Infringement

To report suspected trademark or patent infringement of LockNest intellectual property, please contact our legal team at legal@locknest.com. Include a description of the infringing product or content, where you found it, and any supporting documentation. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action.

7. Third-Party IP

LockNest respects third-party intellectual property rights. References to third-party products, services, or trademarks (e.g., Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Home) are made for compatibility and interoperability purposes only and do not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those companies. All third-party trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

8. Open Source Software

Some LockNest products incorporate open source software. Where required by the applicable open source license, we make source code available and honor all attribution requirements. A list of open source components used in our products is available upon request at legal@locknest.com.
